Where It Begins

The day began at the stunning Vetta Nordic Spa, conveniently located right behind Horshoe Valley Resort, nestled in the beautiful northern countryside of Barrie. Each guest was to check in and collect their passes at the spa before signing up/ atttending any of the planned activities across the venues.

Upon arrival, guests were given a Defender House sheet listing all the activities available at Vetta Nordic Spa. Starting at 9 AM, breakfast and smoothies were available. Guests can then also book their desired activities for the day.

Below is a list of activities and displays available throughout the day at Vetta Nordic Spa:

Massages, Yoga & Sound Bath Meditation, Finnish Spa Experience, Chef Michael (Kota Grill), Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream, Latte Art, Food & Beverage, Additional F&B Offerings, Rimowa Vehicle Display, Hugo Boss Display by Sharp, Breitling Display by Sharp, and a Dalmore Whiskey Display.

if you had felt you’ve spent enough time relaxing and experiencing all of the carefully curated Defender-specific Vetta Nordic Spa activities and displays, you can then get into one of the many Defender shuttles to head over to the Boots and Hearts festival and experience the other portion of the amazing day that Land Rover has planned.

Customers were also given the chance to test drive one of the Defenders on display at the event through the forested hills near the Spa. There was an assortment of trim levels on display, ranging from 110s to 130s, V8s, and more!

Defender Off-Road Adventure

A short 20-minute drive from Vetta Nordic Spa got you to the second half of the exciting day Land Rover Canada had curated. Guests of the Defender Hosue experience were prompted to take a Defender on the off-road course through the forest at Boots and Hearts!

This provided Defender owners and guests of the Defender House event with the opportunity to experience the Defender in the most adverse conditions, conquering massive obstacles such as rocks, dirt mounds, pools of water, and log bridges. Each feature on the course was meticulously designed to showcase every aspect of the Defender’s capabilities, including Wade Depth, 3D Surround Camera, approach and departure angles, ground clearance, brake-over angles, and so much more. This also allowed guests to cycle through the different drive modes and camera angles to see the difference between each.

VIP Acess

The guests stopped at Vetta Nordic Spa in the morning where they were given their passes for the day. These passes include exciting activities for music fans and offer a comfortable Boots and Hearts experience.

Right off the bat, attendees were granted backstage access to the concert, creating an unforgettable experience. For those that weren’t as into the backstage action, they could make their way to the VIP section of the Balcony that overlooked the concert. This prime spot offered an excellent view of live performers and live streams. Plus, within this area, a variety of food and beverages were available to keep you fueled and hydrated for hours of entertainment.

There were meet and greets with some of the performers, along with face painting, relaxation zones, and many other activities throughout the festival. It was the perfect way to conclude the day—enjoying live music from a balcony that overlooked the entire venue while watching the sunset.
